About the club

Surbiton Methodist Tennis Club is a small, friendly volunteer-run club with a real community feel. We have 6 all-weather courts, a pavilion and attractive grounds. We keep our subscriptions low by running on a “self-help” basis, and members are expected to assist with grounds and court maintenance, cleaning and catering for Saturday teas. The club is very sociable and welcomes players of all standards. Although the club is owned by Surbiton Hill Methodist Church, and would be pleased to see you there, you do not need to be a member of the church to join the club. We have regular club sessions throughout the year and coaching through the summer months for adults and juniors, all included in the membership.
.
We have 6 high quality all-weather courts which are available for play at any time apart from Sundays before 12.30pm and Friday evenings during the summer when the Junior Club meets. No booking of courts is required. Club tournaments take place over the summer months and there are categories for all levels of play.
Club mix-in sessions
Club session times are:
Saturday afternoon: From 1.30pm
Wednesday mornings: From 9.30am
Thursday mornings: From 9.30am
Friday evenings: From 6.30pm (juniors)
(spring and summer)
Our main club afternoon is on Saturday from 1.30pm. This is a mix-in session where members are expected to be of an average skill to play games! You can just turn up and you'll be arranged in sets by the person on board duty. New balls are provided every Saturday.

During the summer months there is a members' evening on Tuesdays, free Wednesday evening coaching session with Paul, and cardio tennis on Thursdays with STC (to pay for). In the autumn and winter the club will run free members' evenings on Tuesdays from 6.30pm.
